Srcful Secures Over $500K in Pre-Seed Funding, Set Sights on Energy Data

We're excited to announce that Srcful has successfully closed its pre-seed funding round, raising over $500,000 USD. This round, completed before the summer, was led by Borderless Capital, with participation from the Helium Foundation and several notable individual investors in the blockchain and tech space.

The pre-seed funding has been instrumental in forming our core team and achieving a significant milestone: the successful proposal and implementation of our Helium Improvement Proposal (HIP-128). This achievement lays the groundwork for Srcful's integration within the Helium ecosystem as the ENERGY subnetwork.

With our team in place and our position in the Helium ecosystem secured, we're now focused on addressing critical challenges in the energy sector:

1. The lack of real-time, granular data from Distributed Energy Resources (DERs)

2. Inefficient energy management and grid optimization due to data gaps

3. Limited user engagement in energy markets

Our strategy to tackle these issues is twofold:

Phase 1: Decentralized Energy Data & Engagement Platform

We're developing an integrated business model that combines B2B data services with a C2B user engagement platform:

Data and API Services (B2B):

• Collect and analyze real-time energy data from connected DERs

• Provide actionable insights and forecasts to utilities and grid operators

• Offer API access for seamless integration with existing systems

User Engagement Platform (C2B):

• Launch a virtual energy company app for consumers

• Reward users for sharing utility meter data and participating in the network

• Gamify energy savings and grid support actions

Our roadmap starts in Sweden, establishing our initial network and partnerships. We'll then expand to Nordic countries, leveraging similar market structures, before scaling across Europe and adapting to varied energy markets and regulations.

This funding will accelerate our development efforts, allowing us to gather real-time data from global DERs, provide critical insights to utilities and grid operators, and empower users to actively engage in the energy ecosystem.
